The Phoenix Zoo offers a unique program designed to help offer the best support for the more than 3,000 animals that call the Zoo home, with nearly 400 species represented, including many threatened or endangered species. Becoming a Wildlife Champion gives you or your loved one the opportunity to sponsor a favorite Zoo animal!

Welcome Hunter to the Phoenix Zoo!
Hunter, our new 8-year-old fennec fox, has joined 12-year-old Noelle as a companion. The two can be found frolicking together and soaking up the sun in their home at Predator Passage. Hunter recently came to us from Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Indiana. At only 2.5lbs, he is a curious and very vocal fox and he’s been having fun exploring his new habitat.

Celebrate the November opening of Predator Passage with a Wildlife Champion. The new trail features up close viewing of lions, hyenas, meerkats, warthogs, red river fennec foxes and an Amur leopard.
